Our mission is to help kids think bigger and love better. We do this by telling stories that are courageous and caring, complete with empowering characters and eternal truths. Through Jolie Canoli and Friends, we seek to ignite the passion and creativity of your little ones – knowing one day they’ll use these gifts inspire their future as well as a better world for all.
Jolie Canoli
Jolie (aka Dr. Jolie Williams) writes and illustrates children’s books that knit humor and heart into learning. She first began writing stories for the stage. Now, as a homeschooling mother of four adventurous kids, Jolie puppeteers and composes kids music for children’s theater.
Jolie and her husband have always loved working together. They met in Pasadena at a mime school, where they both ended up teaching and eventually earning the title Master Mime. While committed to the art of silence, Jolie began pursuing writing stories. Her mentor, Marilyn Farley, encouraged her to use her stories on stage. From there, Theo and Jolie have traveled worldwide, storytelling, performing, and teaching physical theater.
Theo and Jolie both received their doctorates in Worship Studies from Robert E. Webber’s Institute for Worship Studies. They both perform kids shows, offer awe-inspiring entertainment through their family-friendly performance company Pantaloon Productions.

Jolie has traveled worldwide performing shows using mime, illusion, puppetry, music, and original stories. As performing artist, Jolie Canoli and her cast of characters offer an entertaining family experience while awakening childlike wonder.
As an author and illustrator, Jolie encourages kids to pursue their dreams, problem solve, write fun stories, and pursue artistic creativity. Her author visits and school assemblies aim to encourage school spirit and grow a culture of respect, excellence, and creativity.
Jolie’s shows include puppet characters from her storybooks and plenty of audience participation. Kids shows include original songs like You’re Uniquely You and Tippy Toes: If I Were an Elephant, keeping kids engaged while sharing important messages.
Shows meet educational standards for the performing arts and social emotional learning. Topics covered include growth mindset, respect for others, responsibility with feelings, and celebrating diversity.

Jessica creates oodles of doodles, bringing stories to life with vibrant creativity. She is a visual and performing artist, and an art and theater educator. Her living persona of silliness brings joy on stage and off, entertaining kids of all ages. She believes stories are the key to making the world a better place because they help each of us discover a piece of ourselves and find where we belong.
Margherita Grasso
Margherita is an illustrator and graphic designer, living and working in Milan, Italy. She loves to represent the world around her with colors and humor. Where there is a shadow, there’s a light too: in all her illustrations the light and its reflections are the protagonists. She has always focused on details that can only be noticed by sharp eyes, so perhaps the idea just started from there!
